The population of Mexico in the year 1970 was 48 million.

Americans and Europeans and Japanese as well are actually declining in population. The only growth in our population is due to immigration.

An increased population doesn't translate into being a world power. It's the quality and the intelligence of the people inside the country which make it so.

Yes, the same is true in Australia as well. It is one of the byproducts of capitalism. Educated/successful folks have figured out that it makes better economic sense to have no or few children rather than many. And the result is that the excess of the 3rd world invariably comes in to fill the vacuum. It is happening all over the world in every country where you might ever consider wanting to live. Pat Buchanan speaks about it quite a bit in his book from a few years ago (Death of the West).

How bout this concept. Only have then number of children you can afford to raise without help from the government. That is what most Americans have done and are doing. We were told in 1970 of a coming "population explosion" if we did not slow down in the baby making department. Now here we are in 2007, we followed the experts advice and this is what we get.

Part of the reason third world immigrants have lots of babies is cultural. But I really do believe that Hispanic immigrants, in part are having lots of babies cause they know Americans are not. They know the repercussions of them having lots of babies. That would be an Anglo minority and a Hispanic majority. Oh joy!!

What do you here all over the media. Hispanic advocates warning us of the coming Hispanic population boom. It's being ingrained in their communities collective psyche. Having more babies is a good thing.

Hay I have done my part in procreating having 4. I am a young great granny...our legacy has been to start young in our early teens for the last 4 gens as Americans. And I am surrounded with descendants who are generously procreating. For the cause. 2.1 eh? well my family is pulling some slack
